He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Following this he was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Henry is a certified specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and maintains a solo surgical practice in Coquitlam, B.C. He is a member of several professional groups, including the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the British Columbia Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the British Columbia Dental Specialists Society, the Canadian and British Columbia Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anaesthesiology and the Academy of Osseointegration.

He enjoys periodically lecturing at the University of British Columbia.
